Each year the National Association of Wedding Professionals puts together a meeting for local vendors to talk about trends we are seeing in the wedding industry for the upcoming year. This year we focused on garden style flowers using Pantone’s color of the year Living Coral.
Brandi and Ally headed downtown to the Overture center for an onsite installation of a wooden pyramid arch floral arrangement. We used oasis floral foam with a cage to hold the structure and created a base and line work with Italian Ruscus greens, layered in double tulips, monstera leaves, scabiosa, and blooming branches. The focal flower, a Queen Protea, is a tropical flower that has a beautiful pink puff ball center with a cone of petals surrounding it. The Queen Protea flower symbolizes
transformation, diversity and courage a wonderful parallel for a wedding day.
It is a lot of fun and work to do a flower installation on site. It is always worth it for the impact the flowers make and it can truly transform the space.
A big thank you to NAWP – Madison for the invitation to show off the great wedding ideas we are looking forward to in 2019. To check out more about the event and other vendors click here.
